The Dow fell by 2.4% with the S&P500 and Nasdaq also down by 2.3% and 2.8% respectively, as the Russia-Ukraine crisis escalates.
Brent oil moved over $100 a barrel as well, the highest in over seven years.
Sanctions will reportedly be placed on Russia. And that could affect oil and gas prices further.
