StockWatch: Oil Companies Reap Rewards on Price Boom!
Profits soared at America’s two largest oil companies, as ExxonMobil and Chevron both benefited from the recent run-up in oil prices.
ExxonMobil posted a net income of $6.8bn, whilst Chevron reported an adjusted profit of $5.7bn.
But as good as financial results are for the companies, the industry finds itself under renewed attack for its role in causing climate change.
