My Orbex
As part of our commitment towards driving digital transformation and supporting the broader fintech sector, we are pleased to announce that Orbex was one of the proud corporate sponsors of the 10th Cyprus Banking Forum & Fintech Expo which took place on the 9th of December 2022 at the Hilton conference room in Nicosia. It’s an incredible privilege for us here at Orbex to be able to support local and international events that push the fintech industry forward through secure, transparent, and regulated solutions that enable retail consumers to freely bank, transact, and invest online.
The forum entitled “Sustainability, Digitization, Profitability” attracted hundreds of industry professionals, including Cyprus Central Bank Governor Constantinos Herodotou, as well as CEOs of major commercial banks, senior management of regulatory and supervisory authorities, and other representatives of international financial institutions.
Τhe Banking Forum & FinTech Expo, the evolution of the annual Cyprus Banking Forum, has become the premier peer-to-peer event that brings to the spotlight professionals from the local banking and fintech arena. This year’s event featured renowned speakers from the Cypriot and international financial services sectors who shared their insights on the latest developments in the banking ecosystem and the wider financial services sector. The forum also addressed issues such as banks’ new business models resulting from the rapid technological changes and subversive innovations, what the ‘Bank of the Future’ will look like, and what major changes are on the horizon for the banking sector, affecting consumer behavior.
Chief Marketing Officer at Orbex Drosoula Hadjisavva also took to the stage to take part in a panel discussion on “The development of digital payments in Cyprus” during which she shared her views from a B2B perspective on how financial services firms like Orbex select their payment providers in order to ensure the safest, fastest and most convenient possible service to their retail clients.
At Orbex, selecting reputable local and international payment processors and providers is of utmost importance, as quick, easy, and secure deposits and withdrawals are an integral part of our clients’ experience. We are therefore always eager to support organizations and events such as the 10th Cyprus Banking Forum which contribute to the sustainability, growth, and advancement of the broader the paytech and fintech industry.
