Orbex Becomes Platinum Sponsor of “Little Heroes” Charitable Event

We are proud to announce that Orbex is the official Platinum sponsor of this year’s “Little Heroes” (Mikroi Irwes) charitable event which will take place on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, at the Machallekide gym in Limassol, Cyprus.  

Little Heroes is a non-profit organization founded by prominent Cypriot journalist and Member of the European Parliament Loucas Fourlas with the aim to provide financial support to families of children with cancer and leukemia at the Pediatric Oncology Unit of Makarios Children’s Hospital.  

A prominent member of the Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA), Fourlas founded Little Heroes after losing his daughter to cancer and has dedicated his life to the cause: “My commitment and highest priority is the fight against cancer, especially childhood cancer. This battle is a very sensitive and personal one for me, and a life promise that I will never break – for NO child should have to fight cancer alone” – Loucas Fourlas, Little Heroes founder. 

This year, at Orbex we chose to support the summer event organized by Little Heroes with a charitable donation and as a Platinum sponsor of the Machallekides gym fitness day. Orbex employees will attend the fitness day to support the initiative and fundraiser in person. All proceeds from the event will go to the Little Heroes foundation and will be used to support children battling cancer and leukemia.  

Health and social solidarity always had a prominent place in Orbex’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program; it is therefore a privilege for us to be able to support such noble causes and help raise awareness on child cancer.
