Boeing says it expects that it will take another two and a half years for global aviation to return to pre-pandemic levels.
Long-haul international routes would take the longest to recover, as the industry lost $126bn over the course of 2020.
Delta airlines will impose a $200 monthly surcharge on employees who did not receive the vaccine against Covid-19.
It will also only pay sick pay to Covid sufferers who have been double-jabbed but still got infected.
