The European Commission expects to receive more than 200m doses of Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer in Q2, putting the EU on course to meet its inoculation target.
With this, the EU aims to vaccinate at least 255 million people, or 70% of its adult population, by the end of the summer.
This comes as its main rival in the fight against Covid-19 has had some worrying news in recent days.
Germany, France , and a growing list of other European nations have paused the use of AstraZeneca’s vaccine, over blood clot concerns.
