Tesla has breached a trillion dollars in market capitalization, and it’s the fifth US company to join the club.
Shares in the electric carmaker climbed by 12.6% after it also struck a deal to sell vehicles to the car rental firm Hertz.
Facebook focused on the company’s third-quarter earnings, which topped analysts’ estimates.
The company said it’s adding $50 billion to its stock buyback program, helping lift the shares by about 2% in extended trading.
