Today’s movers
Forex prices live
Live bid prices for major currency pairs, streamed from the Orbex trading server. A forex rate shows how much of the second (quote) currency one unit of the first (base) currency buys: EUR/USD at 1.0850 means one euro costs 1.0850 US dollars. Each card shows the current rate, the change since the previous session’s close and the last 30 daily closes.
Gold, silver and oil prices today
Live prices for gold, silver and US crude oil (WTI), quoted in US dollars from the Orbex trading server. Gold and silver are priced per troy ounce and WTI per barrel. Each card shows the current bid, the move since the previous session’s close and the last 30 daily closes, so today’s price can be read against the past month.
Crypto prices live
Live prices for Bitcoin and Ether against the US dollar, streamed from the Orbex trading server. The daily change is measured from the previous session’s close on the Orbex server clock. Each card shows the current bid, that change and the last 30 daily closes. Crypto prices can move by several percent within a single day.
Stock indices live
Live levels for major stock indices from the United States, Europe and Japan, streamed from the Orbex trading server. An index tracks a basket of company shares, such as the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq. Levels are quoted in points; each card shows the current level, the change since the previous session’s close and the last 30 daily closes.
Markets trading, answered
Where do the prices on this page come from?
From the Orbex live trading server, delivered through PriceFeedPro. Prices update tick by tick while this page is open. The price shown is the bid price.
What does the percentage change on each market show?
The move since the close of the previous trading session on the Orbex server. It starts again from zero when a new session begins at 00:00 server time.
When does the trading day start on the Orbex server?
At 00:00 Orbex server time (Europe/Athens: GMT+3 in summer, GMT+2 in winter). Daily prices, the day’s high and low and the “today” figures follow this clock, so a new trading day can begin before midnight in your own time zone.
Which markets can I see here?
Precious metals (gold and silver), crude oil, major forex pairs, stock indices (Nasdaq 100, Dow Jones, S&P 500, DAX 40, FTSE 100 and Nikkei 225) and crypto (Bitcoin and Ethereum). Each card opens a page with a live chart, key levels from the Orbex analyst desk and market context.
Why does a market show “Market closed”?
Each market trades on its own schedule. Forex, metals, oil and indices close at the weekend, several have a short daily break, and public holidays can shorten a session. The last price stays on the page until trading resumes.
What do the small charts on each card show?
The daily closing prices of the last 30 days, so the recent path is visible at a glance. Open a market for its full chart with today, one-month, three-month and one-year views.
What is the “Coming up (US)” calendar?
The next high-impact US economic releases, such as inflation (CPI), jobs and retail trade data, from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) release calendar. Dates are US dates; release times are not shown.
Is the information on this page investment advice?
